Tara! I’m so excited to read this, and think more about it. It ties in with a concern/motif/theme in my second novel (and ongoing): of insides and outsides being visible at the same time, and interesting things (magic, wonder, unsettledness) happening at the confluence or the margin or the overlap or the in-between (the liminal space). That novel (The Hope Fault) had an epigraph from Hicksville, courtesy of lovely Dylan, and a character who made comics – I was thinking and reading a lot about comics back then.
